Domaine Lanari
The Lanari Estate was founded some thirty years ago by Leardo Lanari. It is located in Varano, on the promontory of the Conero Natural Park, southeast of Ancona, on the hills overlooking the Adriatic Sea, the heartland of the Rosso Conero appellation. Today, Luca Lanari, Leardo’s son, and his wife Paola run Domaine Lanari.
The Conero promontory offers an exceptional environment for growing red grapes: they benefit from a unique microclimate, with the sea just a stone’s throw away, combined with a limestone soil—poor in nutrients but with great structure—allowing the wines to express their full potential.
Domaine Lanari cultivates a total of twelve hectares of vineyards, planted primarily with Montepulciano grapes, with a small percentage of Sangiovese. The production of Rosso Conero DOC and Conero DOCG benefits from meticulous vineyard management, as well as careful selection of grapes harvested exclusively by hand. Domaine Lanari produces four wines: Rosso Conero Lanarios, D’Inclite, La Fibbio, and Arete.
