IGP Vallée du Torgan

Torgan Valley PGI
The Vallée du Torgan PGI, recognized on March 17, 1978, covers the municipalities of Paziols and Tuchan, in the heart of the Corbières region. Driven by a cooperative winery and a few private estates, this small Languedoc appellation is situated in a pristine valley, about thirty kilometers from the Mediterranean coast, at the foot of Mont Tauch, which rises to over 900 meters in elevation. This diverse terroir, featuring a mix of limestone, rocky, and sandstone soils, produces expressive, Mediterranean-style wines. The reds, made from Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, or Mourvèdre, reveal aromas of ripe fruit and spices, while the whites offer freshness and notes of garrigue.
