Les Terrasses Cévenoles

When it was founded in 1951, the Les Terrasses Cévénoles cooperative winery had 120 members. Until then, it had mainly focused on producing table wine, but in the mid-1980s, the winery shifted towards a more quality-oriented strategy by organizing contributions and matching grape varieties to the most suitable terroirs...

Les Terrasses Cévénoles reorganized its wine range in the mid-2000s: Cigalois at the entry level, Monteyrac, Roche-Fourcade and, in 2011, the organic range Les Claris made its debut. Today, Les Terrasses Cévénoles offers a total of 21 white, red, rosé, and sparkling wines, with IGP Cévennes and AOC Languedoc appellations.

Located at the foot of the Cévennes slopes, the vineyards are subject to two distinct climates: the Mediterranean climate and the Cévennes microclimate linked to the presence of the mountains. These two climates combined allow the cooperative winegrowers of Terrasses Cévénoles to produce ripe grapes while maintaining a good level of acidity synonymous with freshness, liveliness, and good preservation, with a beautiful aromatic intensity typical of Cévennes wines.
