2*Coup de Coeur

Hachette

Favorite third Favorite the Guide’s last five editions—that says a lot about this winemaker! With its deep garnet color and violet hues, the 2015 vintage displays a richness full of promise. Intense and rich, the nose exudes delicious aromas of jammy fruit (blackberry, strawberry, cherry). The palate is full-bodied, dense, fruity, and robust, structured by vigorous tannins that promise good aging potential.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2017)

About wine:

Favorite third Favorite the Guide’s last five editions—that really speaks volumes about the winemaker! With its deep garnet color and violet highlights, the 2015’s appearance exudes a richness full of promise. Intense and rich, the nose offers luscious aromas of jammy fruit (blackberry, strawberry, cherry). On the palate, it is full-bodied, dense, fruity, and robust, structured by vigorous tannins that suggest excellent aging potential.

About the estate:

After several years at the INAO, Daniel Nairaud set his sights on the sandy-clay soils of Châteaumeillant and acquired a vineyard of nearly 8 hectares in 2011. He quickly established himself as a reliable name within the appellation. He also heads the wine merchant firm Bituriges Vins, founded in 2013.
