Maison JB Clair

Maison Clair is a winery in the Côte Roannaise region. It has been producing Côte Roannaise wine since the 16th century (the oldest known deed of purchase for a vineyard in La Judée dates back to 1536). After obtaining AOC status in 1994, it continued producing AOC red and rosé wines.  It has also been producing its flagship product—La Méthode Traditionnelle—since 1896, in rosé and white varieties, both brut and demi-sec (sweet). Currently, the estate operates as a corporation. Jean-Baptiste Clair sadly passed away on April 18, 2019.
