The Guilbaud Brothers Company was founded in Mouzillon in the Nantes region in 1927 by Edouard and Marcel Guilbaud from a long line of winemakers. Located in the heart of the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine wine region, the Guilbaud Brothers Company It owns four family-run estates and produces wines fromMuscadet Sèvre et Maine appellation : Domaine de la Moutonnière, Le Clos du Pont, Le Clos Beauregard, and Domaine de la Pingossière, covering 65 hectares. The wine merchant division also sells other Loire Valley appellations and wines with the Pays de Loire PGI designation.

In the historic part of this estate, in the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine region, the wines produced are primarily white wines made from the Melon de Bourgogne and Folle Blanche grape varieties, which are native to the region. This appellation is known for its white wines aged on lees, a technique that adds more body and roundness to these relatively light wines.
