Loire Valley Rosé
The Rosé de Loire Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (AOC) potentially encompasses the entire territory of the Anjou and Touraine AOCs (whose respective cultivation rules it adheres to).

Annual production ofthe Rosé de Loire AOC is approximately 56,000 hl from 1,100 ha, primarily in Anjou. The following grape varieties are authorized for use in Rosé de Loire: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grolleau, Pineau d’Aunis, Gamay, and Côt. To facilitate cultivation and achieve excellent value for money, mechanization is common for this appellation. As a result, vines are generally planted at a density of 4,000 to 5,000 vines per hectare and pruned using the Guyot method (single or double).

Wines fromthe Rosé de Loire AOC are the perfect companions for sunny days—light, supple, and smooth... They range in color from pale pink with grayish highlights to raspberry pink with orange hues. Generally very aromatic and luscious, they feature notes of red berries, violets, and English candy. On the palate, lightness and freshness are the hallmarks.
