The Saumur Brut AOC, which covers 1,390 hectares, produces a sparkling wine with fine bubbles made from Chenin, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pineau d'Aunis, either as single varietals or blends. These grape varieties grow on limestone soils of tuffeau and schist (Anjou Noir).
The temperate oceanic climate and the more continental influences on the plots furthest from the Loire give the Saumur Brut aromas of white fruit, lemon balm, hazelnut, and toasted almonds.
Traditional winemaking methods Saumur Brut and the minimum 9 months of aging on slats produce an effervescent wine that can be enjoyed young and will pair perfectly with your shellfish and desserts.
