Thierry Germain - Roches Neuves

The Domaine Thierry Germain - Roches Neuves has been run with passion and enthusiasm by Thierry Germain since 1991. Domaine Thierry Germain - Roches Neuves has become a renowned and beautiful 22-hectare estate located in Varrains, in the Saumur blanc and Saumur-Champigny appellations in the Loire Valley. This wine estate has been established since 1850 on an exceptional terroir characteristic of the Saumur region: chalky subsoil called Tuffeau, a combination of sandy clay soils with a predominantly limestone composition. Thierry Germain - Roches Neuves' vineyard is planted with Cabernet Franc and Chenin grape varieties and has been cultivated biodynamically since 2004, with careful and rigorous soil management.

In the new winery at Domaine Thierry Germain - Roches Neuves, the grapes are carefully sorted before being transferred to wooden vats where they are vinified separately. The harvest is carried out exclusively by hand, with successive sorting. Fermentation takes place in the cellar at low temperatures for 3 to 4 months in order to develop the full aromatic palette and freshness of the wines of Thierry Germain - Roches Neuves.
