Touraine Chenonceau

Recognized in 2011, the Touraine Chenonceaux AOC was born out of the commitment of passionate winemakers dedicated to showcasing the finest terroirs. This appellation embodies the harmony between exceptional soil and the prestigious setting of Chenonceau, with a constant commitment to quality. The vineyards stretch across the hillsides on both banks of the Cher River, spanning 25 municipalities in the Indre-et-Loire and Loir-et-Cher departments. Situated on slopes, the plots benefit from good drainage and favorable exposures. The soils, typical of the Loire Valley, are a mix of limestone, flint-rich clay, and “perruches,” contributing to the richness and uniqueness of the wines. The appellation’s wines are distinguished by their elegance and precision: fresh, aromatic whites with lovely liveliness and pronounced minerality, and refined, structured reds that combine fruit, balance, and aging potential.
