The Maltese archipelago is a small wine producer, with vineyards located exclusively on the islands of Gozo and Malta, covering 40 hectares spread across 18 estates.
Malta's vineyards are composed of equal parts red and white grape varieties. Malta produces two AOC wines (DOK Malta and DOK Gozo) and one IGP (IGT Maltese).
