The Maltese archipelago is a small wine-producing region, with vineyards located exclusively on the islands of Gozo and Malta, covering 40 hectares spread across 18 estates.
Malta’s vineyards consist of equal parts red and white grape varieties. Malta produces two AOC wines (DOK Malta and DOK Gozo) and one IGP (IGT Maltese).
