A blend of local grape varieties, the Claudia's white wine displays beautiful aromatic complexity right from the glass, with notes of citrus, flint, and smoke. The full-bodied and elegant palate maintains its freshness, leading to a surprisingly smooth and rounded finish. A real treat!

About the wine:

The Claudia's Branco Reserve 2015 is a blend of 40% Viosinho, 30% Gouveio, 15% Fernão Pires, and 15% Arinto, aged for six months in second-fill oak barrels. Fairly robust on the mid-palate, its greatest strength lies in its subtle balance of depth, finesse, and freshness. It integrates the oak beautifully. Smooth and round, it’s easy to drink, good on its own, but even better with food. It finishes with a hint of iron. The concentration is subtle—it doesn’t seem overpowering—but it’s quite present. This Douro Branco is understated, but hits all the right notes. It wasn’t bottled yet at the time of tasting, but this was the final blend.
