"Just bottled about a month before tasting, this was evident, but there was a slightly eccentric nuance, perhaps a touch of volatile acidity. Only a touch, however. It is still very drinkable, with a good finish and notable power for a relatively young Tawny. (Wine Advocate 2018) Allow it time to open up so that it can offer you its finest aromas.

About wine:

The Colheita Tawny Porto 2004 is a single vineyard blend, composed mainly of Touriga Franca (35%), Tinta Roriz (20%), Touriga Nacional (15%), Tinta Barroca (10%) and others, bottled in 2018 with a long cork and 100 grams of residual sugar. Fine and concentrated, this Tawny, in the style of the house, has a darker color than most Tawnies. Don't be confused, it's still a Tawny. Bottled about a month before tasting, this was evident, but there was a slightly eccentric nuance, perhaps a touch of volatile acidity. Only a touch, however. It is still very drinkable, with a good finish and notable power for a relatively young Tawny.
