La Bastide Blanche Estate
The La Bastide Blanche estate, owned by the Bronzo family, is located in the heart of the Bandol terroir, at the foot of the commune of Le Castellet, in the Var department of France. It is on this iconic terroir that La Bastide Blanche, composed of vines aged between 40 and 80 years old, flourishes in an amphitheater of hills imbued with the scent of the Mediterranean Sea. Facing south-southeast, the vineyard rests on predominantly clay-limestone soil. Its proximity to the Sainte-Baume massif allows La Bastide Blanche to be naturally tempered by the sea breeze, swept by the legendary north wind, the Mistral. The vineyard covers 50 hectares of vines, partly planted on hillsides and terraces, but in a very fragmented manner, giving La Bastide Blanche a variety of soils that brings a complexity that is appreciated in the estate's wines.
