La Bastide Blanche Estate
The La Bastide Blanche estate, owned by the Bronzo family, is located in the heart of the Bandol region, at the foot of the town of Le Castellet, in the Var department of France. It is on this iconic terroir that La Bastide Blanche, composed of vines ranging from 40 to 80 years old, flourishes in an amphitheater of hills steeped in the scents of the Mediterranean Sea. Facing south and southeast, the vineyard rests on predominantly clay-limestone soil. Its proximity to the Sainte-Baume massif allows La Bastide Blanche to be naturally tempered by the sea breeze, swept by the legendary northern wind, the Mistral. The vineyard spans 50 hectares of vines, partly planted on hillsides and terraces, but in a highly fragmented layout, offering La Bastide Blanche a variety of soils that contribute to the complexity so appreciated in the estate’s wines.
