An exceptional cuvée, Les Hauts de Saint-Ser is the result of a blend from two of the estate's finest plots: one planted with Syrah, a powerful grape variety with leathery aromas and rounded tannins, and the other with Cabernet Sauvignon, which brings powerful structure and superb longevity to this cuvée. A beautiful bottle!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2020 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)
About the estate:
Jacqueline Bichot, a pharmacist turned winemaker, fell in love with this ideally located vineyard with the Sainte-Victoire mountain as a backdrop. It is 400 meters above sea level, in an area where the cool climate is reflected in the wines. The Sainte-Victoire terroir produces pure, elegant wines that are perfectly in tune with their terroir. With organic and biodynamic certification acquired in 2017, she has validated the seriousness of her approach and continues to pamper her 47 hectares of vines on clay-limestone soil, typical of the appellation.
Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2019 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
The estate takes its name from the chapel of Saint-Ser, dedicated to a 5th-century hermit who, ignoring the threats of the Visigoth ruler Enric, was beheaded. Managed using biodynamic methods, its 46 hectares of vineyards extend over a privileged terroir of limestone gravel on the southern slope of the Sainte-Victoire mountain, where the grapes benefit from maximum sunshine.
