“There are two slightly unconventional wines from this estate that deserve special attention. Made from nearly 100% Mourvèdre from a plot near Vinsobres, the sensational Vin de France Arcane Le Diable 2015 underwent a three-week maceration (Xavier prefers to extract as much as possible before alcoholic fermentation) and was aged primarily in small oak and concrete tanks. Blueberries, blackberries, peppery herbs, and spices emerge from this full-bodied, robust wine, which displays great purity, integrated acidity, and a generous structure.” (Wine Advocate 2016)
