“Wishing to carry on the wine-merchant tradition of their father Gaston, Patrick Brunel and his son Maxime (Château de la Gardine in Châteauneuf-du-Pape) founded this wine merchant house in 2007, which offers wines from across the valley, from north to south. Made from Grenache (55%) and Syrah, this Cairanne immediately wins you over with its inviting nose of crushed raspberries and forest floor. The palate, flavorful and very long, is supported by fine, silky tannins that lend it great suppleness and elegance. ” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2015)

A rather promising first tasting. Fruity and complex. Best served after decanting.

Very good, but the bottle size isn't practical for storing in the wine cellar

Nice wine, good price—probably needs a little more aging

"Remarkable" and even rated 2** by the Guide Hachette. But what else? A light Cairanne to enjoy with friends—in my humble opinion, quite a far cry, for example, from Perrin's 2011 Peyres Blanches or Marcel Richaud's Cairanne, which is powerful yet harmonious.

Excellent value for the price, with a beautiful balance between power and smoothness. A true Gem Rhône that I highly recommend!

A rather surprising taste of rock-garden terrain for those who love exploring all kinds of terrain
