"Seeking to revive the wine merchant tradition of their father Gaston, Patrick Brunel and his son Maxime (Château de la Gardine in Châteauneuf-du-Pape) founded this wine merchant house in 2007, offering wines from across the valley, from north to south. Made from Grenache (55%) and Syrah, this Cairanne immediately wins you over with its inviting nose of crushed raspberry and forest floor. The palate, flavorful and very long, is supported by fine, silky tannins that lend it great suppleness and elegance. " (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2015)

A rather promising first tasting. Fruity and complex. Best served after decanting.

Very good, but the bottle size isn't practical for storing in the cellar

Nice wine, good price, probably needs a little more aging

"Remarkable" and even rated 2** by the Guide Hachette. But what else? A light Cairanne to enjoy with friends—in my humble opinion, quite a far cry, for example, from Perrin's 2011 Peyres Blanches or Marcel Richaud's Cairanne, which is powerful yet harmonious.

Excellent value for money, with a beautiful balance of power and smoothness. A true Gem Rhône that I highly recommend!
