Roger Sabon

Roger Sabon
This family-owned estate, acquired in 1952 by Roger Sabon, is located in the famous village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the southern Rhône Valley. The 18-hectare vineyard consists of 14 plots within the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, on the left bank of the Rhône.
The Sabon family is one of the oldest in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and their winemaking tradition has stood the test of time, passing from generation to generation. The vineyard is managed with great respect for the environment, using no herbicides and maintaining low yields to prioritize the quality of the grape juice. In the cellar, Didier and Jean-Jacques work as a team to bring out the vineyard’s full potential. Within this same appellation, three distinct geological profiles give the wines complementary qualities: rounded pebbles provide tannic and aromatic power; sand and safre contribute elegance and harmony; and the limestone terroir brings balance through its acidity. Grenache is at the heart of Sabon’s wines, expressing itself with power and elegance.
