Biscarelle Estate
The Biscarelle estate is located in the Grès district of Orange, halfway between the city of Princes and the famous village of Châteauneuf du Pape. It has been run by Jérôme Grieco and his wife Christelle since their first vintage in 2009. They manage the vineyard with skill and produce wines of rare quality. In 2013, La Revue du Vin de France awarded them the "discovery of the year" prize.

The Biscarelle estate vineyard covers 22 hectares of vines and two different appellations: Côtes du Rhône: 17 hectares of vines between forty and eighty years old. Châteauneuf du Pape: 5 hectares (with some plots dating back a century) located in the north of the appellation, mainly on hillsides, where the vines are planted with their famous round pebbles that the mistral wind sweeps away all year round. Phytosanitary treatments are kept to a minimum, with all efforts focused on working the soil.

At the Biscarelle estate, the grapes are harvested in crates and sorted manually at optimal ripeness, without being destemmed or crushed. The wine is aged in concrete vats in order to "transcribe the expression of the terroir as much as possible without imposing any artifice."
