Domaine de la Biscarelle - Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2013
15,5/20
RVF (G&M)
“It stands out among the 2013 vintages thanks to its extra velvety texture. It has a round body, with a finish of red and wild berries. Already good and approachable. ” (The 2016 Guide to Wine Bargains - Gerbelle & Maurange) This Châteauneuf-du-Pape is the very embodiment of its appellation: beautiful red fruit, sun-drenched, and a fresh attack that balances out the overall power. Excellent value for money!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated (2016 guide): 2 stars (A solid, recommendable wine, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous vintage)
About the estate:
Located in the vineyards near Orange, the estate’s 5 hectares of Châteauneuf-du-Pape include century-old vines, which explains the intensity of the 2012 vintage presented here. The Côtes-du-Rhône from the same estate are also remarkable, and the young couple of winemakers now in charge are doing an exemplary job. Before this wine becomes too well-known, give it a chance to find a place in your cellar.
