Winegrowers of Estézargues
The Cave des Vignerons d'Estézarguesis located in the heart of the Côtes du Rhône Villages, 10 kilometers south of Lirac. The terroir of Estézargues is typical of the appellation's great soils: rounded pebbles on clay, facing south. Estézargues, a small village in the Gard department, is mainly renowned for its wine.

In 1965, keen to combine their efforts, the winegrowers of Estézargues began to join forces by creating the Cave des Vignerons d'Estézargues, which at the time represented around ten estates. A quality policy was quickly put in place, leading to the sale of bottles from seven estates (Domaine de Pierredon, Domaine des Bacchantes, Domaine Grès St Vincent, Domaine d'Andézon, Domaine de Périllière, La Granacha, Domaine de la Montagnette, Domaine des Génestas), bulk sales, bag-in-box sales, as well as three blended wines: Les Grandes Vignes, La Granacha, and Les Quarantièmes Rugissants, and a Gard regional wine, "Cuvée des Galets."

The harvest from each estate is vinified separately in order to respect the identity of the winegrowers and terroirs. In the cellar, selected yeasts, filtration and fining, and all technologies that denature the wine are prohibited. The wines are made without sulfur and at low temperatures in order to make the most of the fruit and the potential of the terroir.

United around a production and marketing dynamic that combines knowledge of the terroirs and mastery of winemaking, the winemakers of Estézargues have undoubtedly initiated, through their approach, a genuine reflection on the viticulture of the future. Through their actions and the quality of their wines, the winegrowers of Estézargues demonstrate that here, the concept of terroir is shared by all so that it can be better shared... with everyone.
