Winemakers of Mont Ventoux
The Winemakers of Mont Ventoux, located at the foot of the Mont Ventoux The vineyards in Bedoin are situated in an exceptional natural setting with a wide variety of terroirs. The vineyards stretch across the foothills of the Ventoux across five municipalities (Bedoin, Saint-Pierre-de-Vassol, Flassan, Crillon-le-Brave, Modène), and within an area located in the UNESCO-protected “biosphere reserve.” In total, the winery’s Winemakers of Mont Ventoux, a cooperative founded in 1924, now has more than 110 members who collectively farm 1,000 hectares.

The winemakers of Mont Ventoux cultivate their vineyards in a very hot, dry, and windy climate (with an almost constant mistral wind). What makes this region unique is its landscape of plains and valleys, contrasted on one side by the "giant of Provence," Mont Ventoux, which rises to 1,912 meters and contributes to the formation of microclimates. This diversity of climates allows for the emergence of different nuances in the wines.

Les Vignerons du Mont Ventoux offers a wide range of wines under the IGP Méditerranée and Ventoux appellations. In this southern part of theRhône Valley, Grenache reigns supreme. The red wines are most often blended with Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, and Carignan. White wines are made from Clairette, Bourboulenc, Grenache Blanc, and Roussanne, but Viognier and Ugni Blanc are also found.
