About the estate:

Sylvain Morey was born in Chassagne-Montrachet. For this son of Burgundy, white wines hold few or no secrets. But it was in the Luberon region that he set out to prove himself, producing both white and red wines. After studying oenology, he left his native Burgundy for the Luberon in 1995 with his wife Ludmila. There, they rented some old vines. Although Sylvain Morey is familiar with single-varietal cultivation, here he had to adapt to multi-varietal cultivation and diverse terroirs, which he blends in the cellar, the only way to make fine wines. This estate produces digestible, complex and well-balanced wines. The whites are remarkable, probably the finest wines in the appellation, while the reds speak loud and clear of their land of origin.

The lack of freshness on the palate and the hint of alcohol detract slightly from this wine.
