Bastide du Claux
La Bastide du Claux is a winery run by Sylvain Morey, a native of Chassagne-Montrachet who moved to the Luberon after completing his studies in oenology in 1995. It is located in the heart of the Luberon Natural Park on sandy-clay soils arranged in southwestern-facing terraces in the commune of Ansouis, on a northeastern hillside summit in La Motte d’Aigues, and on a gravelly hill in Cabrières d’Aigues.

The Bastide du Claux vineyard is fragmented and spans about fifteen hectares. Offering a rich combination of soils, climates, and exposures, this terroir requires the winemaker to highlight its unique characteristics, respect its natural balance, and maintain a focus on the right approach.

The wines of La Bastide du Claux are complex, easy to drink, and beautifully balanced. The whites are superb—undoubtedly the best in the appellation—while the reds powerfully showcase all the beauty and intensity of these southern terroirs.
