"A rosé with character, ideal for meals"

Pétula is a very distinguished rosé, combining power and freshness. Its expressive nose delivers subtle notes of small red berries, a touch of wild strawberries, and passion fruit. The palate is juicy, rich, and tangy. The finish lingers on white-fleshed fruits and notes of mango. A fresh and fruity rosé to enjoy with any meal!

Rated estate (2023 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

Marrenon is one of France's most sophisticated cooperatives. It brings together nine wineries, no less than 7,600 hectares of vineyards, and has bottled more than 85% of the Luberon's annual production for 40 years. This is a remarkable feat in terms of quality, as evidenced by a very diverse and comprehensive range of wines. These wines are deliciously fruity, without losing sight of their terroir of origin.

Note and opinion by Mr. GILLES D. Published on 05/19/2025

Going against the trend of "pale" rosés, Pétula is a rosé with character that stands out for its power, beautiful volume, and density, contrasting with a well-balanced liveliness and finesse on the palate. This is a delicate yet indulgent style with a lush, creamy texture, imbued with concentrated, tangy flavors of redcurrant, cherry, and wild strawberry, complemented by an exotic touch and floral notes. Ample and refreshing finish. Its natural elegance and aromatic intensity make it an appealing and ideal partner for outdoor meals, preferably with sunny cuisine such as tomato, Banon, and basil tart, shrimp and Parmesan risotto, Galician-style octopus... Rating = 4.1.
