"After twelve months in barrel, the warm nose evokes ripe fruit and spices complemented by floral nuances, with the woodiness remaining in the background. The palate, equally generous, gives a little more space to the toasted notes of the barrel, which do not mask the fruitiness. The tannins are present but very fine, lending this wine great elegance." Rated estate (2023 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

Marrenon is one of France's most sophisticated cooperatives. It brings together nine wineries, no less than 7,600 hectares of vineyards, and has bottled more than 85% of the Luberon's annual production for 40 years. This is a remarkable feat in terms of quality, as evidenced by a very diverse and comprehensive range of wines. These wines are deliciously fruity, without losing sight of their terroir of origin.

A very good bottle at a modest price. Full-bodied; fragrant; long finish; complexity without excess; a frank and distinguished character. A pleasurable wine that hides its qualities well.
