This wine gave me a hard time when it came to forming an opinion (an amateur’s opinion, that is...). The color is red—neither light nor dark—and it’s crystal clear. The initial nose didn’t offer a powerful bouquet, though there were a few fruity notes. On the other hand, there were some issues on the palate. Not tannic at all, this wine reminded me of a winemaker’s worst moments. At first, I felt like I was drinking the finest in fine chemistry... Once the initial surprise wore off, this wine was actually quite drinkable. Yes, really! With a moderately long finish, it will suit less discerning palates like mine. A nice little wine to pair with marinated skewers in the summer. That’s why I gave it a 4. I’m even thinking of recommending a few bottles given its unique character.
