Château Combel-la-Serre

Château Combel-la-Serre is a family-owned estate located 17 km from Cahors on the Cournou plateaus, at an altitude of 300 meters. It is run by a father and son, Jean-Pierre and Julien Ilbert, who are constantly striving to bring out the fruitiness and freshness in their wines.

The Château Combel-la-Serre vineyard covers 26 hectares of vines, primarily planted on clay-limestone soil. Since 2013, the vineyard has been in the process of converting to organic farming (ECOCERT), reflecting a commitment to an approach that respects the vines and the terroirs.

The Château Combel-la-Serre features a state-of-the-art winemaking facility as well as a high-quality barrel cellar, ensuring the utmost care is taken in crafting wines that combine aromatic complexity with freshness. Julien Ilbert, the son, is part of a new generation of winemakers embodying the revival of the Cahors appellation with wines of rare indulgence.
