2*Coup de Coeur

Hachette

“Clear, bright, and slightly golden, the color of this blend—half Sauvignon Gris, half Sémillon—is particularly refined. The nose is equally impressive, with powerful yet delicate aromas of white fruit (pear) and ripe exotic fruit. These aromas, just as intense, are reflected on the palate, which is round and smooth, well-balanced by a subtle freshness on the finish. A harmonious wine from start to finish.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2016)

About the wine:

Clear, bright, and slightly golden, the color of this blend—half Sauvignon Gris and half Sémillon—is particularly refined. The nose is equally impressive, with powerful yet delicate aromas of white fruit (pear) and ripe exotic fruit. These aromas, just as intense, carry through to the palate, which is round and smooth, well balanced by a subtle freshness on the finish. A harmonious wine from start to finish.

About the estate:

Alain Mayet is descended from an old family of cathedral builders from central France, some of whom settled in the Dordogne Valley. Marlène and Alain Mayet have been at the helm of this 30-hectare estate since 1981.
