Domaine du Bois de Pourquié - Côtes-de-Bergerac Moelleux 2014
2*Coup de Coeur
Hachette
“Clear, bright, and slightly golden, the color of this blend—half Sauvignon Gris, half Sémillon—is particularly refined. The nose is equally impressive, with powerful yet delicate aromas of white fruit (pear) and ripe exotic fruit. These aromas, just as intense, are reflected on the palate, which is round and smooth, well-balanced by a subtle freshness on the finish. A harmonious wine from start to finish.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2016)

About the wine:
Clear, bright, and slightly golden, the color of this blend—half Sauvignon Gris and half Sémillon—is particularly refined. The nose is equally impressive, with powerful yet delicate aromas of white fruit (pear) and ripe exotic fruit. These aromas, just as intense, carry through to the palate, which is round and smooth, well balanced by a subtle freshness on the finish. A harmonious wine from start to finish.

A simple wine that isn't too sweet. Decent.

Great value for the price, especially for someone like me who’s used to Sauternes. A pleasant surprise that I highly recommend, particularly as an aperitif or paired with homemade ice cream or sorbet.
