Aveyron

Aveyron has a landscape of plateaus and hills where ancient schist and granite soils rub shoulders with red sandstone. The vines cling to the slopes and dry stone walls. The climate is at the crossroads of three climatic influences. The west is influenced by the ocean, while the southeast is more Mediterranean in character and the north and east are more continental. Grape varieties: Reds: Cabernet Sauvignon, Duras, Fer Servadou, Merlot, and Syrah. Whites: Chardonnay and Chenin
