The Tursan Winemakers' Cellar
Founded in 1958, La Cave des Vignerons de Tursan is a cooperative that today brings together 150 winemakers from the Landes region, who cultivate 500 hectares of vineyards and produce 95% of the Tursan AOP appellation. Two other appellations are also cultivated using sustainable practices: the Landes IGP and the Chalosse IGP.

Numerous grape varieties are planted on the clay-limestone soils of Tursan: Cabernet Franc, Tannat, Cabernet Sauvignon, and others for reds and rosés; Baroque, Gros Manseng, Sauvignon Blanc, and others for whites. The soils may also contain silt and gravel, light-colored sand, and rounded pebbles.

The wines are vinified and aged in tanks or barrels for between 4 and 18 months, depending on the freshness and complexity sought during winemaking.
