The Tursan Winegrowers' Cellar
Founded in 1958, La Cave des Vignerons de Tursan is a cooperative that now brings together 150 winegrowers from the Landes region, who cultivate 500 hectares of vines and produce 95% of the Tursan AOP appellation. Two other appellations are also cultivated using sustainable methods: IGP Landes and IGP Chalosse.

Many grape varieties are planted on the clay-limestone soils of Tursan: Cabernet Franc, Tannat, Cabernet Sauvignon and others for reds and rosés; Baroque, Gros Manseng, Sauvignon Blanc and others for whites. The soils may also contain silt and gravel, fawn-colored sand and rounded pebbles.

The wines are vinified and aged in vats or barrels for between 4 and 18 months, depending on the freshness and complexity sought during the winemaking process.
