Domaine André Blanck et Fils
The André Blanck estate extends around the village of Kientzheim, a small town at the entrance to the Kaysersberg valley, covering an area of 14 hectares, more than 65% of which is Grand Cru and Lieux-Dits. Since the 13th century, the Order of the Knights of Saint John has owned a commandery that is now owned by the André Blanck family.
The André Blanck estate has been cultivating vines for several generations. Two of the sons, Charles and Michel, have joined their father on the estate. The Blanks only harvest and vinify grapes from the family estate. Their desire for more environmentally friendly viticulture has led them to adopt sustainable practices and methods: biological pest control, organic matter incorporation, plowing, weeding, grass cover, and straw mulching.
