Domaine Mélanie Pfister

Since 1780, the Pfister family has been cultivating vineyards on the clay-limestone terroir of the village of Dahlenheim, home to the Engelberg Grand Cru, which has been recognized since the 9th century. Since 2008, Mélanie, the eighth generation of the family, has been the first woman in the lineage to take over the estate. After gaining extensive experience at some of the world’s finest estates and earning a degree in oenology, she returned to the estate to continue cultivating the vines organically, minimize intervention, and—through extended aging—bring out the best in the grapes while highlighting the terroir.
