"Pride of the estate"
A Riesling from the schist soils of the Kastelberg Grand Cru, full of fruit and stone. It will take a little time to reveal the full character of its terroir, but it already impresses with its power, minerality, and salty finish.

About the estate:
Returning to the family estate in 2017, Pierre Wach decided to rename it after himself, changing the name of the former Domaine des Marronniers. He converted the vineyards to organic farming and, above all, changed the style of the wines. His father Guy had a taste for sweeter wines, which did not always convince us in the past. Change, a new era, a new generation... our tasting this year won us over!

About the estate:
Settling in Andlau, a former wine-growing commune along a narrow valley, in 1976, Guy Wach is the heir to a lineage dating back to 1748 of coopers, then winegrowers. In 2017, he handed over the family estate (8 hectares) to his son Pierre, which includes plots in the commune's three grands crus, ideal for Riesling. The estate is already largely organic, and this approach should enable it to begin the conversion process in the near future.

About the estate:
Pierre Wach has represented the new generation at the helm of the family estate since 2015. He first initiated changes in the vineyard, with Ecocert organic certification effective from the 2022 vintage, then in the cellar, launching trials of sulfur-free and deviation-free Pinot Noir. A new impetus has been given, but a few minor adjustments are needed in the cellar to preserve the precision and freshness of the flavors.
