The first woman to obtain the title of oenologist in Argentina, Susana Balbo worked for leading wine producers before realizing her dream of owning her own vineyard. In 1999, Susana Balbo Wines was born, an estate in the heart of Lujàn de Cuyo in the province of Mendoza. Recognized as "Woman of the Year 2015" by The Drink Business magazine, Susana Balbo has nothing left to prove. Today, her children José and Ana continue her work.
Susana Balbo Wines represents the main international grape varieties (Malbec, Merlot, Sauvignon blanc, Chardonnay...) as well as indigenous ones (Torrontés).
For Susana Balbo, a good oenologist is one who masters the art of blending not only grape varieties but also terroirs.
