Weingut Bründlmayer - Kamptaler Terrassen Grüner Veltliner 2014
92/100
Wine Enthusiast
"Wonderfully refreshing, lemony aromas promise even greater intensity in the future. The palate is well-rounded but already shows vibrant notes of pepper and herbs. A slightly riper touch of yellow plum tries to come through, but the spices and citrus zest remain dominant. The finish is very long." (Wine Enthusiast 2015).

Rated estate (2012 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)
About the estate:
The Best Wines of Austria: Owner of a 40-hectare vineyard, Willi Bründlmayer is one of the region's leading producers in terms of both size and quality. A promising researcher, he had to take over the family estate when his father fell ill. Here, great tradition meets a wine intellectual with an open mind to innovation and working in harmony with nature. Renowned worldwide for his great Rieslings and Grüner Veltliners, Bründlmayer also produces a good Champagne-style wine (Pinot Noir and Chardonnay) and several red wines. The Grüner Veltliner Käferberg is always the most powerful and generous wine, while the Grüner Veltliner Alte Reben (old vines) offers more depth and concentration. The Grüner Veltliner Lamm has a beautiful fruit maturity and a noble structure. The Heiligenstein Alte Reben Riesling, the Kamptal's favorite wine, has wonderful concentration. To round off the Riesling selection, the Heiligenstein Lyra has a beautiful mineral density. Other wines include the beautiful Chardonnay and the Vincent 2000 cuvée (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zweigelt).
