Kamptal
Kamptal takes its name from the Kamp River, which flows through this region, home to Austria’s largest wine-growing town: Langenlois. With vineyards spanning 3,802 hectares, Kamptal is one of Austria’s most famous wine regions and boasts a large number of internationally renowned winemakers.
Since the 2008 vintage, the Kamptal DAC designation has been used for wines made from Grüner Veltliner or Riesling.

Kamptal features diverse terroirs. Along the steep, south-facing terraces, Riesling vines are planted. These produce powerful, mineral-driven wines with exceptional aging potential. As one descends toward the Danube, the soil structure changes. The silty terraces are wider and offer perfect conditions for growing the traditional Grüner Veltliner.

The Kamptal vineyard has a continental climate, which allows for the production of wines with delicate aromas and crisp acidity.
