Kamptal
Kamptal takes its name from the Kamp River, which flows through this region, home to Austria's largest wine-producing town: Langenlois. With vineyards covering 3,802 hectares, Kamptal is one of Austria's most famous wine regions and boasts a large number of internationally renowned winemakers.
Since the 2008 vintage, Kamptal DAC has defined wines made from Grüner Veltliner or Riesling.

Kamptal has a variety of terroirs. Riesling vines grow along the steep south-facing terraces. These produce powerful, mineral wines with exceptional aging potential. As you descend towards the Danube, the soil structure changes. The silt terraces are wider and offer perfect conditions for growing the traditional Grüner Veltliner.

The Kamptal vineyards are subject to a continental climate, which allows the production of wines with delicate aromas and crisp acidity.
