Surrounded by his family and a team of hand-picked professionals, Willi Bründlmayer employs sustainable methods for cultivating his vineyards, which are primarily trained using the lyre method: grassing between rows, natural fertilizers, hand-harvesting... Although the majority of his production focuses on Grüner Veltliner, Willi Bründlmayer earned his reputation in the 1980s with his barrel-aged Chardonnay—a blend of Austrian fruitiness and an international style. He also produces Riesling, Pinot Noir, Zweigelt, Saint Laurent, and Pinot Gris across a total vineyard area of 75 hectares. 

Willi Bründlmayer has become an iconic figure in his country and a standard-bearer for Austria on the international stage. In 2000, Decanter magazine included him in its prestigious list of the 50 winemakers who would change the face of the wine world over the next decade. He is also a member of the International Wine Academy.
