About the estate:
Founded in 1926 north of Mont Brouilly, this family-owned estate spans 21 hectares, with vineyards in four crus: Brouilly, Côte-de-Brouilly, Régnié, and Morgon. A trusted name in Beaujolais: the first Favorite a 1984 vintage, and many others have followed. David Duthel took over the estate in 2010, which also includes a wine merchant business.

Rated estate (2022 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)
About the estate:
Cathy Duthel and her husband David Duthel took over from Jean-Paul Ruet, who expanded the estate’s bottled wine sales at this estate founded in 1926. A proponent of traditional semi-carbonic vinification, the Ruet estate adapts to the profile of each vintage, partially destemming depending on the year, aging in oak or in tanks, punching down and racking to bring out the maximum fruitiness. The meticulous work in the vineyards highlights the harmony between the soil and the Gamay grape. The extensive and highly consistent range can be explored in a well-stocked tasting room.
