Château de Fleurie
Owned by the Loron heirs, Château de Fleurie, located in the heart of the Fleurie appellation, belongs to the Barbet and Roclore families. It comprises 9 hectares of vineyards, primarily located in Fleurie. Château de Fleurie, situated in the village of Fleurie, tastefully blends history and art.
Situated between La Roche de Solutré in the Mâconnais and Moulin-à-Vent in the Beaujolais, Maison Jean Loron is one of the oldest and largest wine-growing estates in southern Burgundy. Its origins lie in winemaking and date back to 1711. The story begins over 300 years ago, with Jean Loron on the steep slopes of the Beaujolais, in the heart of the village of Chénas. Unlike his parents, who cultivated various crops—including vines—like many farmers of the time, Jean decided to specialize in viticulture.
Over the years, Jean Loron’s descendants forged strong partnerships with prestigious names. Several milestones have marked our history. Finally, in 2016, the handover of leadership from Xavier Barbet, the 8th generation of the Loron family, to Philippe Bardet—a native of Beaujolais and a connoisseur of Burgundy—marked a turning point for Maison Loron, which is looking more than ever toward the future.
