About the estate:
The company traces its origins to Jean Loron, a winemaker born in the Beaujolais region in 1711. His grandson, Jean-Marie, founded a wine shipping business in 1821. Now run by the eighth generation, this wine merchant also owns several estates, including Château de la Pierre (Régnié, Brouilly), the Fleurie and Bellevue estates (Morgon), the Domaine des Billards (Saint-Amour), and the Domaine de la Vieille Église (Julienas).

About the wine:
Made from grapes grown on vineyards owned by the Loron and Barbet families, this is a rich, well-structured wine. It is beautifully aromatic and juicy, with flavors of blackberry and a fragrant acidity. Firm tannins beneath all this fruitiness suggest it will age well. Best enjoyed starting in 2022.
