Pascal Aufranc
Located in a former farmhouse in the town of Chénas, Pascal Aufranc began in 1993 on a hillside vineyard planted with Gamay, overlooking the village of Chénas, on the hill known as "En Rémont."
Little by little,the estate has expanded through the acquisition of new vineyards in the Juliénas appellation, andtoday cultivates 11 hectares. It offers three cuvées—all red wines—that regularly win awards: Chénas Vignes de 1939, Juliénas Les Cerisiers, and its flagship cuvée, Juliénas Probus.
Mindful of the environment around him, Pascal Aufranc relies on patience and careful observation to make the best decisions in the vineyard. By adopting sustainable viticulture practices, he aims to let nature take its course, allowing the terroir to express itself fully and reflecting this unique character in his wines.
