"Top quality/price!"

"The nose seduces with notes of cocoa powder, red berries, and licorice root. The palate is medium-bodied, with a slight warmth on the finish. Best enjoyed young. " (La Revue du Vin de France - July 2022) A cuvée well known to 1J1V customers and regularly awarded by the press. The 2020 vintage once again makes a very good impression. It is round, with beautiful intensity. Great potential!

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2020 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

Guénaël Jambon moved to Morgon in 2001 after studying viticulture and oenology in Burgundy. In 2004, he took over the Roches du Py estate, then Grand-cras in 2007, and finally Morgon in 2012. A proponent of small plots and non-interventionism, Guénaël Jambon is nonetheless demanding when it comes to winemaking. His wines are precise, both in their expression and in their aging. All the wines presented here are dense and structured in style, without ever resorting to a show of force. A highly recommended range.
