“The nose entices with notes of cocoa powder, red berries, and licorice root. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with a hint of warmth on the finish. It should be enjoyed while young. ” (La Revue du Vin de France – July 2022) A cuvée well-known to 1J1V customers and a regular award winner in the press. The 2020 vintage once again makes a very good impression. It’s round, with lovely intensity. Great potential!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2020 guide) 1*Star (A high-quality, recommendable wine that lives up to expectations for its appellation(s))
About the estate:
Guénaël Jambon moved to Morgon in 2001, after studying viticulture and oenology in Burgundy. In 2004, he took over the Domaine des Roches du Py, followed by the Domaine du Grand-Cras in 2007, and finally the Domaine de Morgon in 2012. A proponent of single-vineyard winemaking and non-interventionist practices, Guénaël Jambon is nonetheless exacting when it comes to winemaking. His wines are precise, both in their expression and in their aging. All the wines presented here are dense and structured without ever coming across as overly forceful. A highly recommended lineup.
