Domaine Marcel Lapierre

Domaine Marcel Lapierre is a family-owned estate located in Villié-Morgon. Marcel Lapierre, who passed away in 2010, was a passionate advocate for natural wines and succeeded in making his estate a flagship of the Morgon appellation. Today, his wife and son Mathieu—joined by his sister Camille—carry on Marcel Lapierre’s legacy.

The Domaine Marcel Lapierre vineyard currently comprises 13 hectares of vines that have been cultivated organically since 1981, 2 hectares of which are located on the Côte du Py. The authentic expression of the terroir guides the work at the estate day after day: hand-harvesting and traditional Beaujolais winemaking methods without the addition of SO2 or exogenous yeasts.

Marcel Lapierre's wines are vibrant, the result of the authentic expression of Gamay Noir à Jus Blanc, imbued with the distinctive character of the Villié-Morgon terroir.
