The fruit of Beaujolais, the charm of Burgundy...
The hamlet of Morgon which gave its name to the appellation, is located at the foot of the “Py” hill. It is likely that the Château de “Py” zay owes its name to this hill. It owns a very small plot of 45 ares on this site, which produces this special, limited-edition vintage, grown on soil rich in rock debris and mineral salts, which allow the Gamay grapes to impart the power and structure suited to this age-worthy wine. This Morgon Cuvée du Py which requires a bit of patience will age for up to ten years, and when its tannins have mellowed, we’ll say it’s “morgonne”…Buy your Pizay wines at the best price in a private sale!
