The son of Jean-Paul Thévenet, Charly has established himself as a distinguished winemaker by founding his own estate in Régnié in 2007. Following in his family’s footsteps, he crafts exemplary wines to our great delight, offering here a silky Régnié with an elegant and refined profile. His biodynamic approach, respectful of the terroir, truly shines in this exceptional Régnié, which captivates us with its intense and pure fruitiness. A wine of distinction, far beyond the ordinary, designed to surprise and delight at the table.

About the estate:
This is the estate of Jean-Paul Thévenet’s son, Charly, who purchased vineyards in Régnié a few years ago and released his first vintage in 2007. Biodynamic farming, late harvests, gentle maceration, and low sulfur dioxide levels during aging in old barrels are the order of the day. The style is elegant and delicate, emphasizing charm and aromatic complexity over brute force, and the wines tend to age gracefully.

Well, no, it definitely doesn't work. You get some fruitiness on the first sip right after opening, but then it all disappears, and the longer you wait, the worse it tastes—unlike other natural or low-sulfite wines. Honestly, I'm not at all happy with the recommendation on the website, which is full of praise that has nothing to do with the quality of what I tasted.
