Domaine de la Croix Carron
The Croix Caron estate is located on the hills overlooking the Saône valley, southwest of Mâcon. It owes its name to an ancient stone cross that marked the intersection of two paths near the estate.
The vines, which are 40 years old on average, enjoy excellent south-southeast exposure at an altitude of 300 meters and are planted on clay-granite soil that is particularly favorable to the Gamay grape variety.
Owned by the Boisset family, the Domaine de la Croix Carron covers 9 hectares of vineyards managed by Daniel and Fabien Adoir.
Located in the north of Beaujolais, in the commune of Saint-Amour-Bellevue, the Saint-Amour appellation is one of the 10 Crus of Beaujolais. Its terroir benefits from a semi-continental climate with oceanic and Mediterranean influences and granite, clay, sandy, and clay-sandy soils. Saint-Amour wines evoke fruit and freshness, producing fine, balanced wines.
